Park O has come to the Far North.
The first event was held on the Southern Esplanade in Cairns on a full colour map prepared by map maker Graham Teahan from New Zealand.
Approximately sixty competitors rose to the challenge set by Andrew Campbell, with 25 markers set on features such as park benches and sculptures found along the Esplanade, on a map which proved a challenge to many competitors as they grappled with the detail on the map.
All competitors rose to the challenge and some managed to find all 25 markers and get back to the start well within the one hour allocated time limit!
Congratulations to Chris White, Adam Fletcher & BREK for podium finishes and course clearing
Next Thursday (August 23rd) sees the competition move to Goomboora Park in Brinsmead for a 6pm start. The challenge will be different as this map includes some bush areas as well as the park and surrounding streets. Go to the website here for more info.
