NEW ROUTE

As most of you will be aware the area around Cardwell felt the full force of Cyclone Yasi this year. This has prompted the Bike Tour crew to search out new and exciting routes through sections of undamaged forest north of Cardwell. There is about 2 and a half days riding which isbrand new for the bike tour. Have a look at our website for more info.

• >500kms on mostly remote dirt roads with minimal traffic.
• Spectacular scenery including waterfalls and gorges, rainforest and open forest, World Heritage areas, hard to access country that many locals have not seen.

The FNQ Wilderness Bike Tour is a unique opportunity to experience North Queensland’s beautiful natural environment in a small group ride.

FUNDRAISER

This event is the major fundraiser for the Cairns and Far North Environment Centre (CAFNEC), which for the past 30 years has fought hard to protect the beautiful natural heritage of North Queensland. We get very little external support, and rely on this event and our members/supporters to keep functioning.
