  1. Is there an option for a relay team in the 3 hour event. I want to be able to participate but not sure I can time it with breastfeeds and have a friend who is interested in doing half the race if we split it between us?

  2. Hi Organiser, I would like to join this race but no bike do you know any bike store where I can hire bike for this event?

You’d have to try a few of the bike stores around town, then again you can hire tourist bikes. The tracks not really that rough unless you plan on going a million miles an hour. Last years winner won on his $20 Huffy (TAFE student).

Best of luck on your mission and see you there with a smile on your face. Muz!

  3. do you require catering for this event? We are an outside catering company located at Redlynch Central.

Hi Nina. I would like to talk to you about catering. Please give me a call on 0401545481 when you can. Thank you.

Hey Davo, last year we had 80 competitors in the 3hr. We have 40 at the moment. More will come closer to the event.

  4. With 50+ riders passing each other on the fire trail which is pretty narrow in places I envisage a few prangs.

    • Yo Kev,
We’ve done substantial work on slashing and grooming the firetrail so 50 riders going out and back won’t be a problem.
Also remember that the firetrail is later in the race and the competitors will be well spread out by then – you may see no one on the firetrail.
The 3 hour event does not go near the firetrail this year.
Check out the new event maps now up on the website.

  5. is it only people from cairns do this race or some from all over austraila ???and how many there is so far in the 3 hrs race .thanks

    • Mostly from Far North Queensland, but several from other parts of Australia.
To date 83 in the 3 hour

    • Sorry about that Davo,
I don’t know why – I’ve checked it with 3 browsers and all work fine.

  6. Great race guys, Just want to say a big thanks to the guy who stopped and helped me out when I busted my ankle on the fire trail. I’m sorry I didn’t get your name but thanks heaps. Cheers Stu
