What’s it all about?

This multisport event takes entrants through some of the most spectacular scenery in Australia.

A paddle to picturesque Dunk Island is followed by a challenging run over Mount Kootaloo (and return for short course), around beautiful Dunk and return to the Spit – long course. Relay runners will be transported to Dunk Island Sunday at 0630.

Competitors then return to the mainland for a mountain bike ride over the beaches and through the Licuala State Forest before taking on the final testing beach run.

The bulk of the event is off-road with only 5km of sealed sections in the bike course.

  1. I am so happy OnaMission is still continuing into its third year. Fantastic! To all the participants I hope you have an excellent, exhilarating, exciting and exhausting event and wishing all the organizers every success.
All the best, from the chilly and not nearly as beautiful as FNQ, Gold Coast. Enjoy! Lisa Roach

  2. Looking at doing the race this year – looking for some advice on the bike section. What kind of terrain does it cover and how experienced a MTBer do you have to be?

As I could not raise a team I did the short course alone.
Well organised and run – great job and thanks to all who helped make this happen.
I will definitely be back next year.
