It's Extreme Metrogaine Series

2011 Winter Series results here.. Enquiries to Mike on 07 4032 4567

Metrogaines are conducted on foot or mountain bike in suburban areas or regional towns. Teams of 2 to 5 people are given a map with checkpoints marked on it and a cluesheet and have one hour to walk, jog and or run to as many checkpoints as possible.

The catch is that the map has no street names or identifying words to guide teams. Teams use basic navigation skills to locate checkpoints using the clues provided. No compass skills are needed or used.

Teams are penalised for each minute late. Cold drinks and jubes are provided at event conclusion. Results are emailed during the week following the event.

We often have parents with tots in strollers, Young-uns in backpacks, juniors walking with their parents, teenagers teaming together as well as senior citizens and gun athletes.
