Metrogaining is good exercise and great fun with friends and family! It is a sport that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and abilities.

It's Extreme Metrogaine Series

2012 Summer Series results here.. Enquiries to Mike on 07 4032 4567

Metrogaines are carried out on foot or mountain bike in suburban areas or regional towns. Teams of two to five people are given a map (with checkpoints marked on it) and a clue sheet and then have one hour to walk, jog, run or bike to as many checkpoints as possible.

What’s the catch? The map has no street names or identifying words to guide you! Teams must use basic navigation skills to locate the checkpoints using the clues provided… no compasses required.

While there’s a late penalty for each minute that teams finish past the deadline, refreshing cold drinks and lollies are shared at the end of the event. Don’t forget to look out for your team’s placing when the results are emailed the following week.

So get a group together – whether it’s made up of parents, kids, friends, teenagers, fun-loving seniors, gun athletes or mums with strollers – and have a go today!

Series Champions

In this Summer Series, the team with the highest accumulated score from five out of seven events will be declared the Summer Series Champion Team. They will be rewarded with wonderful prizes from It’s Extreme, presented at the event on February 25, 2012.
