Adventure Sport NQ is your Cairns-based marketing body, responsible for promoting and supporting the activities of the five organisations below:
Rogaining NQ is a chapter of the Queensland Rogaine Association, a Queensland Incorporated Association, and a not for profit sporting club.
Far North Orienteering is affiliated with Orienteering Queensland (OQ) and this year - for the first time – will hold orienteering events in the Far North. Upcoming events include Park O/street O-style one hour events and traditional bush orienteering events, both on foot and mountain bike. OQ is a Queensland Incorporated Association and a not for profit sporting club.
Adventure HQ Inc (AHQ) conducts Multisport events such as The Redlynch Valley Estate Multisport Race and the Metrogaine Series. AHQ is also a Queensland Incorporated Association, and a not for profit sporting club.
Dirty Northern Trail Running Series is a Queensland Incorporated Association, and a not for profit sporting club. It is supported by AHQ, which provides the club with insurance facilities and use of equipment and volunteers.
Adventure Sport NQ, Rogaining NQ, Far North Orienteering, Adventure HQ Inc and Dirty Northern Trail Running Series are extremely proud of our record in that our associations give back more than 98 per cent of income to members through random draws, meals, modern facilities and equipment.
Excluding Rogaining NQ (which charges $20 for an annual membership or $30 for a household membership) there are NO membership fees or joining fees to pay.
Events are very reasonably priced and we have been able to reduce entry fees by more than 40 per cent since 2005. We have no commercial interest in running these events and – aside from grants to purchase major equipment items – we receive no financial support from outside organisations.
The hugely popular one-hour week night Metrogaines have become a feature in our calendar. Learn to navigate around suburban streets and socialise with friends and family.
